Company History
In 1987, Triad Guaranty Insurance Corporation was formed as a subsidiary of Primerica Corporation and began writing mortgage insurance in 1988. In 1993, Triad Guaranty Inc. was formed as an insurance holding company for Triad Guaranty Insurance Corporation, and went public on the Nasdaq Stock Market® under the symbol "TGIC."
Headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and domiciled in Illinois, Triad has account executives and underwriting offices nationwide. Triad is licensed in all states and the District of Columbia. (NAIC ID number 24350).
