Triad Guaranty Inc. (NASDAQ: TGIC) is a holding company which, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Triad Guaranty Insurance Corporation ("Triad"), has provided mortgage insurance coverage in the United States. Triad is headquartered in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and domiciled in Illinois (NAIC ID number 24350). Triad ceased issuing new commitments for mortgage insurance coverage on July 15, 2008, and has entered into a corrective order with the Illinois Division of Insurance. Triad intends to continue to service its remaining insurance in force, including collecting premiums on the business in force and paying claims resulting from loans currently in default or loans that may go into default in the future.
