Loss Management Department
Triad Guaranty's loss management team focuses on protecting our partners during the default and claim process. As a learning organization, Triad continuously strives to simplify the process for our partners and reeducate ourselves for improved performance. Triad offers both electronic and streamlined claim submissions, various default reporting formats, and a timely resolution of any claim dispute.
Claims and Defaults
Triad offers several options for default reporting and claim submission. Triad accepts electronic transmissions, hard copy mailings, facsimiles, or Triad's TAXISM for both default reporting and claim submissions. To simplify the process of claim submission, Triad has collaborated with Fidelity, Freddie Mac and other servicers to receive claims via the EDI 260 standardized claim transaction process. We are also capable of returning an acknowledgement of EDI submission through the EDI 997-transaction set and returning an explanation of benefits paid through an EDI 259-transaction set to our partners that are ready to receive such. In an effort to increase your efficiencies, Triad provides you with a choice of claim payments options via ACH (automated clearinghouse) or checks.
In an effort to promote and maintain electronic commerce standards for the mortgage industry, Triad is an active participant in the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO) and is prepared to utilize all MISMO default and claim standards with our partners.
Triad is committed to settling all valid requests for benefits submitted by the insured within the time constraints outlined in the master policy governing the certificate of insurance. Conformance to the master policy dictates the validity of a claim for loss. Should an issue arise as the result of a claim settlement, our commitment to you is that our claims management team will handle the appeal request researching the specific disputed item(s) and responding appropriately.
Loss Mitigation
Triad Guaranty's loss mitigation services offer some of the best practices in the industry. Triad is proactive in our loss mitigation efforts. We diligently work in conjunction with the servicer and the borrower towards homeowner retention and/or minimization of the loss. The loss management team currently provides the following services for our partners:
- One of the industry's easiest loss mitigation submission processes for approval. A simple phone call or email to HOPE@tgic.com to discuss the mitigation avenues is sufficient for the majority of workouts.
- Proactive and supplementary loan counseling assistance.
- Joint dialogue with your loss mitigation team to ascertain the most cost effective workout of a delinquent loan or disposition of property.
- An innovative loss management team with over 100 years of collective residential real estate loss mitigation, mortgage banking and mortgage guaranty insurance to provide you with expertise and meet your needs.
